The lands around the complex extend for about 25 acres within a protected game restocking area. Three large vineyards, the grapes of which are used to make the excellent Chianti d.o.c.g., the typical red Tuscan table wine, are surrounded by terraces (hand-build many centuries ago and bolstered by stone walls) on which the olives are grown from which an excellent quality extra-virgin olive oil is made.
